StockGuide.org can be used without registration. We may collect:

• Server logs: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and analytics
• Search queries: Stock symbols searched, used only to improve the service
• Usage analytics: Pages visited, referrers, device/browser information, and approximate location, collected on every page via a self-hosted Matomo analytics instance. Analytics data stays on our own infrastructure and is never shared with or sold to third parties.
• Account data (optional): If you register, we store your username, email address, and preferences.

Cookies

We use cookies for session management (if you log in), remembering your preferences, and first-party analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

• Financial information or brokerage portfolio data
• Third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies

Market data is fetched from third-party providers (e.g., Alpha Vantage). Your use of this site does not create a direct relationship with these providers.

Server logs are retained for a reasonable period for security purposes and then deleted.
